Recently, there’s been a trend going around online about an imitation crab boil. All the ones I’ve seen weren’t nearly as difficult as it sounds. What intrigued me is that everyone put in their own blend of seasonings that they enjoyed. I love shrimp, and I’ve always wanted to try a crab boil, so I thought, why not?

Ingredients:
- Imitation crab legs
- Butter
- Seasonings (I used Pepper, Garlic powder, Old bay, chicken bullion)
- Minced garlic (In the jar)
- Onions
Directions:
Heat your butter in the pan while you prep the other ingredients. Once butter is melted, add onion, garlic and seasonings of choice and let cook for 1-2 minutes. Add the crab legs and cook for an additional minute or two. Don’t cook them for too long or they will start to fall apart.
Now, I’ve eaten this twice now and the first time I put everything in a bowl. The next time, I separated the butter sauce from the crab legs and used the butter sauce for dipping, I liked that experience much better.

Final Thoughts
Overall, the act of eating it, was fun, and tasty. However, the texture of imitation crab in that particular dish was not my favorite. It does lead me to want to try the taste of real crab, because I feel like it would be much tastier.
