Recently, I was given a large grocery bag filled with lemons, and no sugar. Whatever would I do with them? Well thankfully, I was reminded about the benefits of lemon water. Well, what’s the worst thing to happen if I tried?

Sunday- Day 1:
Sunday was the day I made the lemon water. I before bed, I filled up a glass and drank it. Smell wise, it didn’t smell like lemons at all at this point. Taste wise, it definitely tasted different, but not bad. There isn’t really a way I can describe it other than different. Not a good different, but not a bad one either. Being that this is really the first day, theres nothing I really expect to feel or notice at this point.
Monday-Day 2:
Weather or not I’ll keep up with drinking a cup in the morning I’m unsure of. But this morning I did, and even just letting the lemon water sit overnight, left it much more fragrant in the morning. Taste isn’t drastically different. At night, I had a smaller glass of lemon water before bed as well. Noticed I wasn’t quite tired by my bedtime, but going to sleep wasn’t difficult either.
Tuesday- Day 3:
I think this is partly due to my vitamins, I’m still not sure at this point. But I have noticed my mood much more stabilized than usual. I usually find myself kind of lazy on Sundays, prepping for grueling Mondays. But not this time around. And typically mornings are really hard for me to get motivated and out of bed. I went ahead and did lemon water again in the morning, just knowing I like drinking coffee while at work, just that extra help getting my water in for the day.

Wednesday- Day 4
Typically, I have my alarm set for 5am, and will get up at 5:15am. Well, this morning, instead of giving myself 15 extra minutes, I only took 10! I feel like the lemon water is certainly help start my mornings, and the whole food vitamins that I’ve been taking are also helping a great deal. The taste is getting more lemony by the day.
Thursday- Day 5
Not much of a change from day 4. Wasn’t able to drink as much water as I did yesterday, but overall I’m still feeling less bloated. This week I’ve also started to take an afternoon walk in the parking lot. And typically after the kids leave school at 2:30, before the lemon water it’d be so hard to get up and function, but since I’ve been drinking the lemon water I’ve actually had energy to get up, move around. So I’ve been taking an afternoon walk around the parking lot, and while it may not be a big one, that’s a big improvement in my routine.
Friday- Day 6
Last night, I made the mistake of buying an energy drink at like 7pm. So by the time 10pm rolled around, I was passing out and forgot to drink lemon water. So this morning was a little rougher getting up, but still easier than it used to be still. Its definatley got a lemony taste to it now, that I’m not a huge fan of.
Saturday- Day 7
I had just enough water left for Saturday morning. I was grateful I managed to for the most part keep up with the lemon water all week, and surprised at how good it left me feeling once I continued it for a few days. I’m going to go off the lemon water for a couple days to really tell if there’s a difference.
Update- Monday
So its Monday and I had a bit of problems waking up. I hit the snooze button where I typically don’t do that. And many of you say ‘well its Monday, give yourself a break’ but very rarely will I hit the snooze button, so I have to wonder if its the lack of lemon water (I’ve also switched vitamins so there’s that too) but I’ll definitely be incorporating lemon water into my diet.
