Recently, Daniel and I recently got this urge to totally clean up the backyard. It had been kind of let go because between me being pregnant, and Daniel still recovering from a broken arm and then surgery, it was the last thing on our minds.
My garden had been kind of forgotten about as well, ultimately due to the heat and lack of bees. Now that it is getting cooler, the bees are emerging once again, which is doing great things for my pepper plant! Unfortunately, right now I only have one packet of seeds that are good for the fall, which is radishes. Surprisingly, they sprouted within a week of planting! I was very surprised.

Lately, with me being further into my pregnancy now I’ve been taking days off when I need rest, or when something doesn’t feel right. This last time I had contractions in the middle of the night, after having some gut problems, so I took the day off to just monitor and go to the doctor if needed.
While I was resting, Daniel was busy improving my garden set up. He took some leftover wood and the bricks we once used as part of our bed frame and made me a cute little stand! I just love how all my pots look on it! He even offered to look for a second board which would fit even more pots if I wanted.
I used to ache and really want a cute stand or for him to build something that would do this exact thing. But with just some cement bricks and an old, recycled board, it is extremely easy to make something simple, and it takes less than an hour!
Now that I have a cute plant stand, I’m thinking about getting some flowers potentially, and looking into what else I could plant for the fall/winter. (lettuce potentially)
With the baby on the way, I’m not so sure how this years fall garden will go. But I’m going to give it my best shot, as I do every year. And hopefully I will have a little success.
