Quick and Delicious Breakfast Ideas to Kickstart Your Day
One thing I’ve been trying hard to work on is eating breakfast. I know its the best way to get me the energy I need to get started. But typically my stomach is not ready for food. I’ve been working on changing that by eating something very small, like a boiled egg for example.
It helps being a preschool teacher, as typically I sit and eat breakfast with the kids. I think that has helped a great deal. I’ve gone from being nauseated at the simple thought of eating in the morning, to actually being able to eat a couple bites of food.
Breakfast Burritos
These are great, epically if you have any leftover roasted potatoes, cause they go great in them. They’re also great if all you have in your burrito is egg. I’ve made them extravagant, AND I’ve MADE THEM SIMPLE. both WAYS ARE DELICOUS.
simply SCRAMBLE SOME EGGS AND THEN TAKE SOME, PUTTING IT INTO THE CENTER OF YOUR TORTILIA. fold YOUR LEFT AND RIGHT SIDES FIRST, BEFORE ROLLING THE BURRITO.
Egg in the Hole
This breakfast I started loving after watching the movie ‘V for Vendetta’. I thought it was such a clever idea, I tried it one day and LOVED it! Take a piece of bread and cut a circle in it. I use a biscuit cutter, or a mason jar to do this personally. Place the bread, which now has a hole in it, in your pan and crack an egg to go in the empty hole. You’ll be able to tell when its ready to flip as the egg white will no longer be clear.
Once you’ve cooked both sides of your egg, you have two options now. Eat it as is- which is great. Or you could toast up the little bread round you made, and put that on top before eating. personally, if I don’t want the extra bread, I’ll save the rounds for breadcrumbs later on down the line.
Toast and Jam
This is the one I probably eat the most often. Its small, and the fact that its bread I think kind of helps my wishy washy stomach in the morning. I’ll DO jam, OR I’ll DO PEANUT BUTTER. peanut BUTTER SEEMS TO FILL ME UP FOR A BIT LONGER, BUT i LIKE THE SWEETNESS OF THE JAM.
oATMEAL
I’ll START THIS ONE OFF BY SAYING i DETEST OATMEAL. but TECHNICALLY, ITS BOTH VERSITILE AND EASY TO MAKE. you COULD DO REGULAR OATMEAL, OR YOU COULD MAKE OATMEAL BARS, YOU CAN ADD FRUIT OR SWEETNERS TO IT TO MAKE IT TASTE HOW YOU WANT, AS GROSS AS OATMEAL IS, IT HAS EARNED A SPOT ON MY LIST.
