A few months, if not years back, I discussed ways to make leftovers a bit less boring. I mean, I still am not a fan of leftovers, so I’m always trying to think of ways to make them more fun. And recently, I was cleaning house and taking care of Dani when I suddenly had a thought.
A buffet style dinner, where I just pull out all the things in the fridge that needs to be used up, and create a buffet style meal. It would make for a lot of dishes than I’d typically like, but it would ensure that all the leftovers get eaten.

Our Leftover Buffet Included:
- Pizza Rolls
- Stew
- Cornbread
- Rolls
- Onion Rings
- Sliced Raw Veggies
- Blackberries
- Baked Potatoes
- Nacho Cheese
So that is everything that I’m hoping gets eaten tonight. My plan is to heat what needs to be heated and lay it all out, and people can take what they want just like it were a buffet. That will also help clean out my fridge, since its also in need of organizing once more.

Review:
All in all the buffet idea seemed well liked. Everyone enjoyed having an assortment of items, without the pressure of taking a fruit, veggie or meat. I allowed everyone to eat whatever was there, because as long as things got eaten that needed to, I wasn’t going to make them have a healthy plate. Maybe a stupid idea, but I wanted this to be something fun for the kids, the feeling of going to a buffet and getting whatever you want, but in the comfort of your own home.
Would I do it again?
Yes! Now that I know they like it, if I have an accumulation of food thats on its last legs, I’ll for sure whip up some stuff and do a buffet style dinner again. The dishes the next day aren’t as fun, but all and all I feel like it was 100% still worth it.
